What is FUT Champions in FC 27?
FUT Champions is the high-stakes competitive mode in Football Ultimate Team. EA says the 15-match Champions Finals structure returns in FC 27. Your finish is based on the results you earn during the Finals window, with higher finishes unlocking stronger reward tiers.
EA also increased the amount of FUT Coins available through Champions compared with FC 26 and brought Champions Tokens back as part of the reward system.
How FUT Champions qualification works
FC 27 changes the route into Champions. According to EA's launch update, Champions Qualification Points (CQP) can be earned through both Division Rivals and Squad Battles, and the old Division 6 requirement has been removed. Higher Rivals Divisions can earn CQP faster, but your Division no longer determines whether you are allowed to work toward qualification.
EA's Champions help documentation describes Champions as a qualification stage followed by Finals. Exact CQP requirements, entry limits and event timing can change, so check the current in-game Champions screen before planning a run.

EA confirms that Champions Finals in FC 27 uses 15 matches. Because the current Season 1 rank ladder is tied directly to wins, every extra win can move you one rank higher.
FC 27 Champions ranks explained
Current Season 1 reward listings show a 15-rank ladder: one rank step for each win, from Rank 15 at one win through Rank 1 at 15 wins. The top five ranks—the packages currently offered by FutBoostLab—start at 11 wins.

EA's FC 27 launch update confirms three important reward changes: Champions provides increased FUT Coin rewards compared with FC 26, Champions rewards include more Champions Qualification Points, and Champions Tokens return in FC 27.
The Champions Token Store gives players a choice of Champions-specific rewards. EA says examples include Team of the Week Players with the exclusive Red Item design, Evolutions and vanity rewards such as Celebrations.
Exact coin, pack and Token quantities can change by Season. Rather than publishing a reward table that can become stale, this guide recommends checking the current reward preview inside Ultimate Team before entering Finals.
Champions Tokens and qualification points are different
Champions Qualification Points (CQP) help you work toward Champions entry. Champions Tokens are a reward currency that can be spent on choices in the Champions Token Store. EA confirms both systems are part of FC 27, but they serve different purposes.
Tips to improve your Champions results
- Do not rush every match. A short break after a difficult game can be more useful than immediately queueing again.
- Use a formation you already understand. Weekend League is a poor place to learn a completely new system under pressure.
- Track why you concede. Separate positioning mistakes, failed tackles and turnovers instead of treating every loss the same.
- Make substitutions with a purpose. Fresh pace, a defensive midfielder or a different striker profile can change close matches.
- Protect your strongest period. If you play better at a particular time of day, use that window for the important part of the run.
- Set a realistic target from recent results. Your last few competitive runs are a better benchmark than a single exceptional weekend.
What rank should a player realistically target?
Start from your recent competitive win rate. If you normally finish around seven or eight wins, jumping straight to a 15-win Rank 1 target is a very different challenge from aiming to add one or two wins. Strong players already finishing around 10–12 wins are naturally closer to the top-five ranks.
